One of the three men accused of the string of robberies in the area faces his trial today. 20 year old William Artadi appears before Judge William Syler today, where he’ll be faced with either the ruling of the judge or the verdict from a jury. The proceeding is the third hearing in which Artadi could have been sentenced since he pleaded guilty to 13 charges in a plea deal with prosecutors who called for the dismissal of another seven. If Artadi removes his guilty plea, prosecutors can bring back the other charges to a total of 20 counts, restarting the legal process. Artadi can also let his guilty plea stand, and face his sentencing from Judge Syler.
